Upper Jaw Surgery and Dental Implants to Replace Extracted Bicuspid Teeth?

Q: I have a slightly deficient upper jaw and am told I am a candidate for surgery to bring the upper jaw forward. However, I also want three bicuspid teeth that were extracted as a teenager replaced. I have been advised against this but I feel that only by having 32 teeth will I achieve the smile I want. What are the complications for creating space for dental implants, and is there an orthodontist in the UK who carries out such a procedure?

A: I would consult a highly trained maxilla-facial surgeon and an orthodontist trained in reconstructive prosthetics.  These doctors can devise an esthetic/surgical treatment plan.  They would gather the necessary models and x-rays, cat scans and computer images to give you an “estimated result”.
