Q: The problem is that the molar next to my bad tooth is fractured and there seems to be infection in the root of that tooth as well, which would mean I would have no lower right back teeth to chew with. I’ve had 4 teeth extracted to make room before they could put braces on my teeth, and the only tooth left to accommodate a bridge has a fixed wire attachment to hold my teeth in line. What are my options and recommendations besides dental implants?
A: From your description, it sounds like the fractured, infected tooth needs to be extracted. It is hard to diagnose your case without examining you and seeing your recent digital x-rays. Implants would certainly have to be strongly considered from what you are describing. You need to be seen for a more definitive diagnosis.
