Q: I just had a tooth extracted, and an implant put in yesterday. During the procedure he told me one of the tool tips broke and is lodged right next to the implant. I can see it in the x-ray. He told me he tried to take it out but is afraid of getting close to my sinus. He also said we have to wait to get it out. Please let me know if I should be worried. Thanks.
A: I would work with your current periodontist and follow his directions. We work with the sinus all the time without any problems. If your Periodontist needs help, then they will suggest another specialist to work with.
